Green Italian Chair

I seem to have a green thing lately--not sure why, but I do love the color green so I am going with it!

I found this grungy chair with great bones at a garage sale awhile back and when I looked closely, it was stamped on the bottom-From Italy.  The wood was in a faded condition, but the chair was sturdy and well made so I bought it.
Before:

I decided to go with a bolder print on this chair so I pulled out a green and white fabric and used it on the chair.  I aged the frame and legs with home made chalk paint and dark wax.

My sun room is done in green, white and black and I took this sign off the wall for the picture.  I might have to keep the chair in my sun room too!

Lovely curved legs

Love the details!

Another Lucketts Green Chippy Dresser

I was at the Flea Market again and found this great old dresser that needed some major help.  It had a great look and beautiful bones so I bought it.  First I needed to replace the missing trim around the drawers.  I went to my local lumber store and bought trim that looked similar but not the same.

I measured and cut the trim and miter cut the corners and glued and nailed the trim down.

My next step was to mix up some Milk Paint in Lucketts Green by Miss Mustard Seed.  I love the color and I just sold a dresser painted with this green and wanted to do another one and bring it to my show.  After painting it with the milk paint I scraped the chips off and sealed it with hemp oil.

Love the chippines and variations in the color from the pigments in the milk paint

Mes Amis-Vintage and Antique Show

I am back from Mes Amis (Mes Amis-Vintage and Antique Show) and am taking it easy today and probably most of the week!  The show was fun and a success, but I am pooped out.  Here are many pictures from the show.

We had a lots of treasures and they got moved around constantly as things were bought.  The boxes in the background were moved out of sight, but I took pictures before that happened!  Oh well-another great show put on by Sandy of The Olive and Rose.
