Lucketts Green Chippy Dresser

If you have been reading my blog then you know I have this thing for painting furniture and especially dressers, so here is another one.
I found this dresser at the local Flea Market and knew I wanted to paint it with Miss Mustard Seeds milk paint.
Before:
I decided the dresser looked like it should be a vintage green color so I pulled out some MMS Lucketts Green and mixed it up.  It took a couple of coats and then started to do it CHIPPY magic.  I also painted the knobs because I thought they fit with the dresser style.  After the paint dried I scraped the dresser with my scraper and did a light sand to get the last chips off.  The last step was to seal the dresser with hemp oil.

I love the variations in the color from the pigments!

Love it!

  3. This turned out just lovely. It has the perfect amount of chipping. It truly looks like someone dragged it out of old Aunt Lula's farmhouse. Nice job!
