Pair of Frenchy Chairs

I have always had this thing for great looking chairs and seem to buy them all the time thinking they would look great with new fabric.  I buy them and then they sit until I am ready to take out the staples ( so not my favorite thing to do!).  I found this pair of really beautiful chairs at the Flea Market and they of course came home with me.

The chairs had great details but the fabric was sooooo ugly.  I took all the staples out ( 50 million to be exact! ha ha) and I am very glad I bought the right tools awhile back to do this.  It makes the process so much easier ( I use to use a flat head crew driver!).  I decided the wood was beautiful and to not paint it.  I wanted a neutral fabric that would compliment the wood details so I pulled out some beige linen I had in my stash.  

I used the old fabric as a pattern 

I always cut it a litter bigger then the original fabric

I added some extra padding 
The next time consuming part of this project was stapling  the new fabric on and getting all the wrinkles out as I did it.  I am defiantly NOT a professional at upholstering  but I try my best.  The last step was to add the double welding trim.  
  I think they turned out very well and I am pretty proud of myself for making them look so much better then before.
