Chippy Green Dresser

Chippy Green Dresser

I found this well made old dresser at my local thrift store and I knew I had to have it.  It was very reasonable and had good potential under all the white paint.  All the hardware was missing, but I have a stash of hardware in my workshop for just these occasions.

I lightly sanded the whole dresser since the old paint had a gloss finish on it.  I mixed up MMS Lucketts Green milk paint and started to paint.  After the paint dried, I  got out my Spackle knife and scraped away!  A little sanding and some wax and I was done.

I love how it turned out!  It is now for sale!

  1. So pretty. Love how the Luckett's Green looks with the existing paint. Great job! x

  2. Good job. Love the chippy finish. Never thought of using a spackle knife to get some of the paint off but I really like the effect that it gives.
