Finds of the Week #33

With the Remodel/addition going on over here, I have not had as much time to go hunting for treasures.  Here are some finds from this past week:

Love the little bit of black on this platter

Gorgeous vintage suitcase without a handle

Large trophy

Chippy Frame

French Chair without to many staples!

Small French Provincial Dresser

Large baskets that I plan to paint to look old and weathered

Antique Frenchy desk

Three silver candlesticks

I have been on a candlestick "thing" lately

Vintage blue sheet great for projects

I hope to be able to find time to do some projects!

Here are some pictures from the Remodel/Addition
Demo of our bedrooms/bathroom and closet

My Dog is a bit confused by what is going on!

Framing going up for some of the new rooms

I am standing in the "new" shower!

So much going on here!

  2. It doesn't look like you have enough to do :-) so I'm actually going to ask you to put the baskets at the top of your projects list! Just joking, but I really want to do a basket makeover like you described and would love to see what you will do with yours and how to do it of course...please, please, pretty please if you find the time?

    1. Thank you Kris-I think I will leave the frame as is-love the chippy. The chairs I sanded down and waxed the wood parts. I removed the back fabric and that is all I have had time to do for now. It might even just stay like that, but who knows.

    1. Thank you Larain-I do have a storage issue and I try to sell everything but a few pieces. I really need to get a store I think! I have a few shops in town who like to come "picking" through my treasures and then I do a few shows so that is usually how I get rid of stuff.

  18. What great finds. I had that same white dresser when I was young. In fact I had the whole bedroom set with the 4 poster bed. It's funny that I saw those blue rose sheets that you found. I even had those sheets with the bedroom furniture except mine where pink. I wish I could be that lucky to find such great stuff. Have a great day!
