Wood and White Dresser

Another dresser, I know!  I seem to have a dresser obsession!
I found this cute, but orange and scratched up one at the Goodwill and it of course had to come home with me.
Before:
I decided the wood could be nice with a good sanding, so I pulled out my electric sander and the sawdust flew!  After sanding the top, knobs and drawer fronts, I sealed the wood with tung oil and AS dark wax.

I painted the base in Marshmallow Cream by The Urban Rooster.  I love the contrast of the wood and the white.

I am very happy with how this dresser turned out!

    1. Thank you Rose-I almost did change out the knobs, but then decided to keep what was original to the dresser and if the new owner wants to change them out they can pick what appeals to them.

  12. I love the contrast between the wood and the white color. I love to work on furniture and sand and reveal what is underneath. Sometimes it can be a total surprise and you are left with a happy feeling at discovering the beautiful wood underneath.

  14. I love wood and white together. I also love the idea of trying this kind of makeover. All I do at the moment is drool over them and sometimes pin them for "later". One day I will have a go, you referencing what products you use really helps with that, thanks.
