Chippy and Aqua

Another Dresser-what can I say-I love dressers!

I found this old dresser on CL and brought it home for a makeover.
Before:
Other then missing some knobs, having scratches, and needing the detail glued back on the middle of the top piece, this dresser was in good structural shape.  I pulled out Eulalie's Sky milk paint by  Miss Mustard Seed  and got to painting.  After painting 2 coats of the milk paint, the paint started to flake and chip and I helped it along with my sparkle knife.
I adore this bottom detail and the chippiness!

I wanted to keep this piece light and bright, so I just sealed it with clear wax and put on some new flower glass knobs.

I love the chippy goodness!

I love the color of this vintage rusty scale!

Aren't the legs wonderful?

The detail I glued back on

  1. Once again, a beautiful job! I looked for over three years here for a dresser and didn't find one
until I found that one at a garage sale on the way to see Andrew last year. I don't know how you find all these dressers! They are not as plentiful here.

  12. Seeing the color of your scale makes me wonder if it was a similar scale that inspired the name for Miss Mustard's 'Kitchen Scale'. I love it. The dresser is gorgeous too. I think I need to break out the Eulalie's Sky again, you've inspired me!
