Spring Green Secretary Desk

I bought this simple and plain desk at the Flea Market and thought it would look great painted a cheerful color.
 Before:

I mixed up some home-made chalk paint and painted the desk first in grey, but it looked boring so I got out some blues and greens and mixed away until I got a bright Springy green.  After painting the desk in this color it was too bright so I waxed the entire desk with AS dark wax and finally got the look I was going for.

I love my Ironstone Pot with Flowers!

Now I like it!

  9. I love that you painted this! I have two similar desks that were handed down to me from MIL and I can't convince hubs to let me paint them!

  10. There is something about a secretary desk that is so charming and you have made yours more so. I love the color and aged finish. Well done! Thank you for sharing at Fridays Unfolded!
