Finds of the Week #30

I found some great treasures this past week picking through the thrift stores, Flea Market, and yard sales.

This gorgeous little French seat is my favorite  find of the week.
I am trying to decide on what color to re-uhpolster it in-any ideas?

  1. Wow! So many great finds! I especially love the chair and the vent. I never would have thought I would love a vent, lol. The chair looks great in blue. How about re-upostering with a flower or other pattern in the same blue? Can't wait to see what you do with it --- such and amazing chair!

  2. Wow, what great finds. Love that chair and the French dresser. I would love to replace my store bought dresser with a piece like that. Maybe I will find one some day. How about using grain sacks for the chair.

  3. here's my 2 cents on your chair. I think it would look cute with something out of the norm on it. Like a larger floral pattern. Maybe becuz all my furniture is plain vanilla and I have the winter cabin fever, but think a kicky pattern would spark it up.

    1. Thank you Sugar-I like how you think -I like a little interest too. As I was taking it apart the other day I saw that it was stamped and it is made by an old company and is an antique so I might want to keep it looking like it would have. It originally had canning on the seat and back, but I am not sure I want to teach myself how to do that yet.
