Staging a small Cabin in the Mountains

This week I staged a small cabin in the mountains that is going on the real estate market today.  The cabin is very small and very dark and the agent I was working with wanted it to look cheerful, light and cozy when potential buyers walk in so they could envision living there.

Living room before:
Linoleum floors and dark wood
After:
Please excuse the boxwood wreath on the fireplace-I meant to move it and forgot before I took the pictures!  LOL

I added white curtains and a small eating area

A Round light colored coffee table  and a white slip covered couch help lighten the room

Before:
Long dark wall and corner

Long table with lamps and a large light canvas help lighten this wall

It was very difficult for me and my limited photography skills to get good pictures with the dark walls and windows

Before:
After:

A tall lamp and light colored table with a few accessories add some coziness

Looking in to the kitchen from the front door

Small kitchen off the main living space

Cozy eating area that overlooks the front yard

Bedroom Before:

After:

Outside:

Bathroom:

There is another bedroom downstairs, a bathroom and the kitchen that I did not stage very much and so I didn't take pictures.

It was a fun cabin to stage with my limited resources, but I think it looks cute and cozy now and that is what I was going for!

    1. Thank you Brenda-I don't do much staging since I do work full time, but I like to do it when I can. I don't post about very often, but it is fun to do!

  5. What a transformation! You did great at bright! I can definitely see the potential and I would probably paint the walls in the living room and bedroom, but the kitchen I would leave as it. The little nook with the white table is my favorite and I would keep the wreath right where it is. Love the star! So, is the furniture and decor yours?

    1. Thank you Marie-I stage smaller places for a few agents and I don't do it that often because my job keeps me busy and I don't like to keep a lot of inventory around.
