Flip Down Buffet

I was at the Flea Market looking for great deals when I came upon this buffet and I bought it.  It is very large and heavy and had great bones.

Here is the before picture--Not bad, but I had another look for the buffet in my head.

The wood is actually in worse condition then it looks in these photos
 Flipped down top

I mixed up some home made chalk paint in Chinchilla Blue by Benjamin Moore--this is a very light beachy blue grey color and I love it. I distressed and waxed the buffet and called it done!
The top drawers have dividers and a felt bottom and both can be removed to just have a basic drawer.

Folded down top

I love this old angel!

Serpentine Secretary Desk

I found this great serpentine secretary desk that needed some TLC and it was a great price so it came home with me of course!
Great lines and details!
Here is the inside when the front folds down
I was able to take the inside shelving out before I painted.
I mixws up  a batch of home-made chalk paint in Mills Springs Blue by Benjamn Moore.  This is one of my go-do favorite colors.  I actually painted my daughter's furniture in her room this color.  (Aqua and red room)

I took out the shelving unit inside and painted it with Milky White home made chalk paint.

The Russian horse I picked up at the Flea Market at the same time.

The dresser has really neat claw foot legs but someone had screwed them on backwards--the front legs were in the back and the back legs were in the front so I switched them.

I love the curvy drawers!

This is probably the picture that shows the true color the best--aqua blue

I sold this piece in less then 24 four hours!  Yippiii!

MMS Tricycle Red Farm desk/table

Once again I was at one of my local thrift stores and came across a  small table/desk.  It had seen better days, but I knew it could be beautiful again.

The top needed some TLC!
I wanted to keep the top wood and was picturing red in my head.  Out came my sander and the dust started to fly!  After sanding I waxed the top with AS dark wax and love the buttery feel.

I painted the legs and sides with Miss Mustard Seed Tricycle Red milk paint---LOVE it!

I got out my scraper and scraped away for the chippy look.

I added a ceramic knob I had in my stash

This piece went to a local shop!
