A local store owner asked me to keep an eye out for garden things for her shop. I was at the local Flea Market and spotted this ugly metal bird bath that I thought had a lot of potential. I took a photo with my phone and sent it to her and she thought it could be great if I put my magic to it.
Here it is BEFORE:
This bird bath is heavy and metal and had a bad spray paint job.
My client wanted a bright color to drive the winter blues away and she wanted it in a blue color. I mixed up my own color and made it into chalk paint. The next step was to dark wax the whole thing and I also added some hemp oil.
I love green and aqua! |
A preserved boxwood wreath from Decor Steals! |
She was happy!

Such a sweet little birdbath! Love the color you chose, I like yellow but that was a little too bright...LOL! Thanks so much for sharing at Amaze Me Monday...

I love your painting technique, and the colors you mix. Wish you were close to me; I'd have you do some of my personal pieces.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
