Eulie's Sky Chippy Stool


I found this sturdy tall stool at the flea market and decided it needed to come home with me.  
Before:


I wanted to make it chippy and two-toned so I first painted it a bright apple green and then painted it with Eulies Sky milk paint by Miss Mustard Seed.  After the paint dried I scraped the chips off and sealed with wax.  





I love that you can see all the different layers-wood, white, green and blue.

    I love stools too. I was at a sale over the weekend that had 2. Ahh, if I could only work magic with paint like you :). Love what you did with yours!

    Love this chippy stool! I seriously need to take a class in this technique. I so badly want to do fun pieces like this, but don't have the patience to do the research on how to do it. You are very good at making ordinary pieces look amazing. Thanks for linking up to my Creative Ways Link Party!

      Thank you Nici-I think you could do the chippy thing with out a class. It's pretty easy because milk paint does the chippy work for you. I would just find a small piece to try it on (like stool). Just layer milk paint itself for a chippy wood look or paint the base and then paint mil paint over the first color. Thanks!
