Custom Chippy Coral Dresser

Recently I had a client who has bought several pieces of furniture from me ask if I would paint a dresser they had.  I said of course and she said she liked the dresser I had on my blog that was painted in Apron Strings by MMS:

Post: Chippy, Coral and Gorgeous

The dresser was dropped off and here is what it looked like:

I mixed up Apron Strings by Miss Mustard Seed and got busy painting.  After the paint dried I got my scraper out and draped off all the loose chips of paint.  I sealed the dresser with hemp oil/dark wax.  I love the quirky knobs and I think they add a great look to the dresser!

My New Grain-sack Chair

I found a great chair at a local thrift store and knew it had to come home with me.
Before:

It was in pretty good shape and I could have just cleaned it and left it the way it was, but I wanted to use the fabric I had bought from DecorSteals.com.  I did not tackle this upholstery project myself, I had a lady named Joanie, she is sooooooo good, take on the project.  I did not trust myself since it involved stripes.  I absolutely love the chair now!

French Coffee Table for my Husband's Office

My Husband moved to a new office  ( Administrator at a school) and wanted a new look and feel for his office,  so he asked me to help him out.  I have been on the search for some pieces for his office and here is the coffee table I found.
Before:

The table has great lines and was really scratched up, but I thought if I sanded the top and painted the base it could be a stunner.  I pulled out my electric sander and went to work.  The wood is beautiful and after the sanding was complete I sealed and stained it with dark wax/hemp oil.  It's beautiful!

I painted the base in white chalk paint (Garlic Glove by Benjamin Moore), distressed and sealed with clear wax.

My husband took the table to his office a few days ago along with the basket tray, plant and grey wooden apples.  I haven't seen it in his office (it's about 45 mins away), but he says it looks great and his "Ladies" love it.

Bold Bench

While visiting the Goodwill today I found this sturdy, but sad bench ( it was new with tags but dirty) and I snagged it and brought it home.
Before:

I had some fabric in my closet that I have been wanting to use on a project and this was the perfect piece.  First thing I did was to unscrew the leg frame and paint it with white chalk paint.  I then sealed and aged it with dark wax and hemp oil.  After measuring the bench I cut the fabric and staped it on and attached the legs.  Loving it!

The green here is brighter in the picture then real life

I love the X legs!

On sale now!
