  1. You find some of the best things! I love the sign...it would look great in my kitchen, too! The Thomasville table makes me drool each time I see it, it is probably a piece I would have overlooked in it's original state, too! Just goes to show what a little bit of paint can do for a piece of furniture.

  2. Oh my, I am loving some of these pieces and so could find a place for the vanity, not that we are vain over here, but it is its versatile use as a deck as well. The sign for your Kitchen I could use that as well, glad it's staying with you, making a great conversation piece.
Thank you for your inspiring share, as well as making me wish I had a really big piece to work on right now!
Thank you dear for taking the time to share with me your beautiful comment.

Looking forward to what you come up with next.

    1. Thank you Dore-I am finishing the vanity today-soft french blue and gold. The sign is from Cost Plus and it is not old, but I like it. I love to cook so it fits well in my kitchen.

  4. Dang you find the best stuff. Love the Drexel vanity. I would love something like that in my bedroom to use next to my bed and move the dresser to another wall and move my big dresser out!

  5. I have that same sign in my pantry! I bought mine at World Market (which I think is the mid-west's version of your Cost Plus) a year or so ago. I still love that thing, even though it isn't old (as you mentioned). You found some really lovely dressers! I'm looking forward to seeing them transformed.

  9. Hi D.D.,

Fantastic finds as usual for you....lucky girl. The desk you painted in Luckett's green, I have a question? Do you apply wax first and then the stain or vice versa, please?

    1. Thank you Debbie-it was a good week for finds! For the green desk what I did was dipped my brush in the oil and then the wax and then I brushed on the desk and rubbed/wiped off. It goes on easy this way and I can control the wax.

  10. I meant to say the wax then hemp oil (not stain) or hemp oil then wax....which comes first or does it matter?
