Jaded Rooster Patio Set

A few weeks back I bought this worn down wooden patio set from the Flea Market.
Before:
The set was in great shape and very sturdy, just worn looking.  I also bought some new chalk paint from The Urban Rooster in a few colors and decided this patio set needed a little Jaded Rooster.
I didn't sand or do anything to wood besides give it a quick wipe down with a cloth.  The bold jade paint went on smoothly and easily and I only needed 2 coats.  Since this piece will be going out side I did not wax it.

  2. Love it! You picked a perfect color to brighten up the outdoors with. So many outdoor sets are some shade of brown and I really love this pop of color. It was an amazing find and now it is an absolute gem!

  3. Hi!! I think this may be the same set I bought my parents many years ago for their anniversary. It looks like it is in about the same shape now as the 'before'. You have inspired me to give them the gift of a spruce up of the set. I think my mom will like red, but I am loving' the colour you chose too. So pretty!-Sue

  8. Darrielle,
I loved the look of the set all chippy and rustic but I have to say adding the color really makes the set pop. Very fresh and pretty. Great job.

  11. Thank you Shirley-it is a great color and you can make it lighter or more aqua by adding white or green. It is a new paint company-check them out.
