A Fun and Functional Cubby

Awhile back I found a grubby cubby at a yard sale and snatched it up.  I loved it and the color was great, but it needed a bit more since it had lots of dings and dirt.

Now I love old and chippy and crusty, but this was not a good kind of dinged up.

I wanted the cubby to be off the ground to be able to be moved since it is so heavy, so I added big rubber castors to the bottom.

After a good clean, I rubbed candle wax on the areas where I wanted the blue to show and then painted it with Island White by Pure and Original Paint .  Love this paint!

When the paint had dried, I gave the cubby a good scrape with my scraper and then sealed it with clear wax.

So functional

Chippy Goodness!

I think this is a very functional and pretty piece now!
