I would love to go shopping with you! I would definitely find a place for that beautiful sideboard...is it long and sturdy enough for a double vanity? Would be stunning anywhere!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marigene I would love for you to come junking with me too. I think it is long enough, but I am also thinking of using another piece I have that is bigger and sturdier. Yesterday was the first day of the reno. so we shall see as we go what I want.
DeleteWOW! You really scored on some great treasures!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michele-love the hunt!
DeleteGosh, you find the best stuff!!! Love the buffet and it would be gorgeous as a vanity. I would love to do that if we could build again. Great mirror, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim-so many possibilities! I am now leaning towards not using it for a vanity since I think it might be a little small for 2 sinks. I suppose I will have to go hunt some more!
DeleteI am in love with the chalkboard tray.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sugar-it was a good find and I don't even have to re-do it!
DeleteYES on turning that pretty buffet into a vanity!! Love that great piece of ironstone too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Martina-my remodel is happening fast and am trying to come up with a new bathroom vanity. My hubby wants 2 sinks so I think I need a bigger piece now.

Thanks Brenda-I really love the hunt! I suppose I should have a store or something to get rid of things faster-My workshop is pretty full.
DeleteAwesome finds, love the post and the turquoise colander. That vanity will make a fabulous vanity. And of course, in turquoise for my bathroom.LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you Yvonne-I love the old post with all the chippiness! Having second thoughts about the buffet to vanity-might need a bigger sturdier piece but shall see how it goes.

DeleteAmazing patina on that post, love the green blue coming through. Would love to see thst sideboard transformed into a double vanity, hope you'll share.
ReplyDeleteThank you -the post is beauty and I am going to make a double vanity from a bigger buffet now I think!
DeleteGreat finds! Where did you find that lovely silver pitcher??? With greek key motif no less!
ReplyDeleteI just painted a buffet very similar to the one you found. A young couple bought it from me and said they were going to use it as their bathroom vanity. Suggestions are, use vessel sinks, have the faucet come out of the wall (instead of drilling into the top of vanity) and be prepared to modify the drawers to accommodate the plumbing(the drain pipe). They can still work as drawers, you just have to shorten them and rebuild them to look like little mazes, where it fits around the pipe! I left the wood top on mine and sealed it with four coats of an oil urethane (not poly) by GF.
Thank you Beth-very good suggestions. I made my daughters vanity in her bathroom from buffet too and left the top wood. I think I might try a bigger piece now but will see how I feel in the next few weeks.
DeleteWow, what a load of beautiful treasures! I think the buffet would be a perfect choice for a double vanity. Love the chippy paint colors on that wonderful post. Thanks for linking up with Vintage Inspiration Party.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you had! Would love to see what you do with them...
