4 French Cane Chairs
I found 4 great caned chairs at a local used furniture store and they were gorgeous so I had to buy them. In my mind I could see a creamy white with a cushion made from antique grain sacks. I put them in my workshop and for the past 3 weeks concentrated on other projects. I had a client who needed for Frenchy chairs for her dinning room and she loved these the way they were so off they went to her house.
My vision did not come true, but the chairs made it to a good home!

I had a pair VERY similar to this that I finished in creamy white, with linen upholstery. http://www.pneumaticaddict.com/2013/02/the-other-twins-more-caning-tutorial.html. Sounds kinda like what you had in mind?
ReplyDeleteI could not have let those go. They are gorgeous! Thanx for sharing at THT.
ReplyDeleteThose chairs are just beautiful! I can't believe the good condition of the cane-you don't always find that. I love them as they are, but they would look lovely in a creamy white finish as well. Thanks for sharing at Fridays Unfolded!

The caning is in really great shape. They would have been darling made over. I adore anything grain sack! Still nice just the way they are and it sounds like they went to a home where they will be loved. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
