Another Lucketts Green Chippy Dresser

I was at the Flea Market again and found this great old dresser that needed some major help.  It had a great look and beautiful bones so I bought it.  First I needed to replace the missing trim around the drawers.  I went to my local lumber store and bought trim that looked similar but not the same.

I measured and cut the trim and miter cut the corners and glued and nailed the trim down.

My next step was to mix up some Milk Paint in Lucketts Green by Miss Mustard Seed.  I love the color and I just sold a dresser painted with this green and wanted to do another one and bring it to my show.  After painting it with the milk paint I scraped the chips off and sealed it with hemp oil.

Love the chippines and variations in the color from the pigments in the milk paint

  11. That is my favorite MMS paint color. You did a fantastic job and I love the fact that you found a piece of trim that blended, too often I stress over "matching"...
