Green Italian Chair

I seem to have a green thing lately--not sure why, but I do love the color green so I am going with it!

I found this grungy chair with great bones at a garage sale awhile back and when I looked closely, it was stamped on the bottom-From Italy.  The wood was in a faded condition, but the chair was sturdy and well made so I bought it.
Before:

I decided to go with a bolder print on this chair so I pulled out a green and white fabric and used it on the chair.  I aged the frame and legs with home made chalk paint and dark wax.

My sun room is done in green, white and black and I took this sign off the wall for the picture.  I might have to keep the chair in my sun room too!

Lovely curved legs

Love the details!

    1. Thank you Marigene-it's on my list of maybe I will keep. I have a French pine bench that I would have to get rid of or move so the green chair could stay. It might happen.

  10. Love it, Darrielle. I just picked up a similar chair yesterday. I think I am going to paint the fabric again. I realized it is silly for me to reupholster anything in my house... it will looks good for about an hour then I will see little paw prints and hand prints all over.
