Apron String Beauty!

I was at the Flea Market again and this time it was more fun because my husband came with me.   He likes to look at junk and is great to have around to carry things back to the car!

I found this great dresser that had issues with the drawers, but had beautiful lines.  I bought it of course. I actually dumped out all my remaining cash and bargained down to a very good price.

Here is the dresser BEFORE I got my hands on it:
the top needs some work!
some dings!

I recently bought Miss Mustard Seeds Apron Strings and was waiting for a piece like this to try it on.
I sanded down the top and waxed it with AS dark wax.  It is so buttery smooth.

A Boxwood wreath from Decor Steals
Love Turned legs!

I love that the chippy paint covers the veneer dings and adds character

I love the variations in the colors--this reminds me of sunset in Hawaii
The color of the wood is much prettier in person--bad picture

This color reminded me of the old milk jug I have on my front porch so I put the mirror next to it and it was the same color.  The milk jug use to be red and has now faded to a pinky color.

A local Dealer came by for something else and saw the dresser and wants it in her shop!

  12. LOVE IT! I live in an old farmhouse and still have a lot of "space" to fill and the color of this piece has inspired my next project. I get my furniture from estate auctions, so now I'm look for a similar dresser. Thank you for sharing.
