French Provincial Dresser

Once again at the local Flea Market I found a great treasure!   I am always on the look-out for dressers and I found a beauty this week.  I did not have enough $ so the vender let me put a deposit down and return with more $ for him.  What a nice guy!  I got the dresser for a good price, so I went home for more $ and my husband and his muscles!

Here is the before:

Not bad, but there were a lot of nicks and dings.  The dresser is made by Basset and has dove tailed drawers and is very well made.

My vision was for the dresser was to be a soft grey and the details white.  I mixed up my own color of grey and made it into chalk paint.

After painting the dresser it looked  dull and needed something else, so I added MMS hemp oil and AS dark wax to the entire dresser.

Here are some pictures of the drawers with and without the wax.

Here is my lovely mixing concoction!
Wax/hemp oil concoction on, but not wiped down:

 wiped down:

Viola-done!

I washed the hardware with white chalk paint and wiped down

Love the curvy drawers!

Topiary from my favorite florist shop!
 A different look: Drama!

I love how it turned out!
