Favorite 10 Posts of 2015
Looking back at 2015 through the eyes of my blog has been interesting and fun. It is goof for me to remember some of the projects I did this year that I have forgotten about in all the busyness of life.

Fall Blog Tour
This was my first home tour and I am grateful to Brenda Cozy Little House for asking me to join the tour.
We finished a remodel/addition on our 100+ year old cottage/farmhouse at the beginning of the summer.
I re-vamped this dresser for The Fab Furniture Flipping Contest and I love how it turned out!
This was a fun painting project!
I love visiting Atelier De Campagne any time, but especially when they have their container sales!
Pair of French Chairs get a Skirt
I was inspired to sew my own slip covers.
This dresser needed some TLC and repairs and I love how it turned out!

I don't usually talk about my family on my blog and I enjoyed doing this and sharing about how I grew up.

Fall Blog Home Tour At Our Cottage
![]() |
(This is our front door, but it was originally the back door. We added the porch and walkway.)

Brenda from Cozy Little House asked me if I wanted to be in her Fall Blog tour, and of course I was honored. I am a rookie at doing a Blog Tour, but welcome to my home.

| (Worn front steps with touches of fall) |
I live in a 100+ year old farmhouse/cottage in California with my husband, daughter and our dog Hudson. Our home is small and cozy and has lots of natural light and windows. We have slowly updated the farmhouse over the years.
Oddly enough, you enter our home right into our kitchen, which is not very common.

Here is a large buffet that I refinished and now use for storage in our small kitchen.

I have always wanted a fireplace in our home, so I bought and painted a mantle, which will have to satisfy me for now!

| The Hydrangeas came from my neighbors backyard |
When you walk through the kitchen you enter a large living/dining room.
I had a farm table built many years ago and I painted the legs with MMS milk paint.
A galvanized tray is filled with all things fall. I love to add hydrangeas for extra color and texture.

To separate the dining space from our living space, I refinished a wooden console table that we have had since we were first married (about 20 years ago).

Here is our living space, an eclectic room filled with treasures I love.
To the side of the living room is a sun room, which is actually a converted front porch. This is one of my favorite spaces in our home.
The room has many windows, and it is where my family and I love to relax and read.
My dad gave the piano to my daughter on her first birthday so she would always have a love of music.
This is the other side of the living room, which has another couch.

My FIL built the frame behind the couch for me out of old wood I found at the salvage yard.

| I bought the chair on CL and had it reupholstered |
We recently went through a remodel/addition to create a new master suite and to add a new bathroom.

I bought a buffet from CL, added appliqués, and painted it with MMS milk paint.

I designed the shower using shiplap and subway tile. Here is our new master bedroom. The new headboard is made from 100 year planks saved from the demolition of the house. |
