Here is the before:
You can see the loveliness there under all the damage. I mixed up a light Tiffany/Beachy Blue home made chalk paint and started to paint away.
Ugly but in a good way!
I like to mix up my own colors depending on what I am picturing in my head for a piece. I thought of blue and making the vanity two-toned. I like to get OOPSY paint from my local paint store ( they give it to me for free since I am in there all the time-ha ha. They all know me by name and even know my go -to colors by heart and I love going in there).
I painted the vanity in my custom blue and then used a garlic glove white for the details.
The next step was to distress and wax with AS dark wax.
How can you not love these gorgeous legs with casters?
I added some crystal knobs from my stash |
I hand painted the edge trim with a little gold |
I found a mirror that I had fixed up and antiqued |
And that same shop is going to sell it just as quickly. The ugly duckling is now a wonderful swan.

DeleteYou did a great job on a beautiful piece of furniture. Very classy. And tiffany blue is the color of my bedroom and kitchen. :) I like the color. :)
ReplyDeleteThat turned out so pretty. I like the price you pay for oops paint better than what I pay. lol They should know me by name at my store too.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have had to keep it! It turned out beautifully!!
