Boxwood Green Step Stool

For some reason I love stools and when I saw this one at the Flea Market I had to buy it.
Before:
The stool was pretty grungy, but sturdy and I thought it would look good in green.  I mixed up some Boxwood milk paint by Miss Mustard Seed and started to paint the stool after I gave it a good cleaning.  I knew it would not chip a ton since the wood was raw and I had to sand it in many places to remove the dark spots.  After the paint dried I scraped the few chips off and sealed it with hemp oil.  I just love the green!

Some chippiness

  2. Love the color. I have a similar ladder/stool we got at Ikea, only it's a bit taller. But it's the same natural wood color. I never really liked it, but maybe it I paint it I would! Thanks for the idea!

  3. Nice buy! If I had that, I would have definitely kept it in my patio but the smaller pots on it :)
