As I was on a search for treasures I found this very large heavy gold mirror leaning in a corner at a local thrift store. I loved the shape, but was not crazy about the color. It looks worse in person then this picture.
Before:
I mixed up a batch of grey home-made chalk paint and painted the entire mirror. I then painted a gain with a lighter grey and then dry brushed white on the mirror. I distressed a little and then fell in love with the new mirror.
I tried to convince my husband that the mirror would look good on our mantle, but he was not going for it.
